We want someone with intelligence, imagination, talent, energy and determination to help build a world class IoT solutions.
You will be applying best practices with emerging Cloud, serverless and IoT technologies (AWS, LoRaWAN, etc.) to create solutions. The ideal people will know NodeJS, AWS Lambda (or be quick to learn) and associated technologies.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Code and building a solution to meet System requirements.
- Edit, maintain and document program code for software solutions.
- Transfer business objects into database tables and managing their relationships.
- Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in applications/systems.
- Execute developer level test cases to ensure applications are aligned with software quality standards.
- Work in a scrum based agile environment.
- Maintain relevant documentation and contribute to ongoing improvement of IoTV methods and systems models.

- Intelligence – as evidenced by excellent academic grades, with a high GPA for above 75% of papers

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
The highest priority technical skills and knowledge required for the role are:
- Programming and software design
- Issue diagnosis and resolution: a desire to understand and address the root cause, rather that just work around issues
- Core: Node js, Typescript
- Testing: understand the value of testing as routine part of development at Unit, Integration and End to End acceptance level
You will also need to know how to work in a Google environment and have an excellent practical knowledge of spreadsheeting for data manipulation and analysis (i.e. functions and scripts).
The position is best suited for an under graduate starting your final year in 2026. It is part-time (12 to 20 hours per week, with more hours available in university holidays) and can be flexible during periods of high study workload and exams. There is the potential to become full time permanent on graduation.
